By means of a small selection of items from the archives of artist Raoul De Keyser, this publication deals with three themes of his oeuvre: the painting as object, the relation between De Keyser’s pictorial work and poetry, and the interaction between painting and photography. In addition, this book focuses on three exhibitions: Rondom de werkelijkheid (1970); Raoul De Keyser, David Rabinowitch, Philippe Van Snick, Richard Tuttle (1978); and Documenta IX (1992).
